New in Partner: RSS updates in text messages

Partner, the mobile communications operator is launching a new service enabling
users to receive RSS updates in the form of SMS messages. This new service enables
to keep up to date in real time on new items from leading content sites, new posts
from blogs, and from various content sites defined by the users.
Every RSS (Really Simple Syndication) update published by the distinct site will be
sent to the user as an SMS message, including a link to the content itself. The user,
who personally defines the type of updates, will be notified of content changes with
no need to access the site itself. Partner hopes that these updates will increase the
company’s revenues from SMS messages, as well as from the use of cellular content.
